Official Rules

A complete copy of these rules can be obtained at the offices of The Northern Wisconsin State Fair, 10 South Bridge Street, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729 and Clear Channel Broadcasting, Inc., 619 Cameron Street, Eau Claire, WI 54703 during normal business hours Monday through Friday or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the above address(s).

  1. No contest fee required, no purchase necessary
  2. All contests are open to the general public except for employees, agents, subsidiaries and affiliates of The Northern Wisconsin State Fair, nor Z-100, nor Classic Rock 92.1, Clear Channel Broadcasting, Inc., participating sponsors, their immediate families, and household members
  3. There will be 2 brackets, Singles and Doubles
  4. Each bracket will have 128 contestants.
  5. Contestant sign up will begin June 1st, 2009, and will be on a first come first serve basis.
  6. The first 128 contestants to sign up in each bracket will qualify.
  7. Practice and final registration will be on Wednesday, July 8, at the Gaming Garage. The tournament will begin on July 9th , and will run through July 12th 2009
  8. The grand prizes will consist of:
    • Singles:
      Champion
      Wii Console and Wii Bowling Game
      Runner up
      Wii Bowling Game
    • Doubles:
      Champions
      Wii Console and Wii Bowling Game (Each Player)
      Runner up
      Wiii Bowling Game (Each Player)
  9. Listeners/Contestants can register for the tournaments on line at www.northernwistatefair.com or www.eauclaireradio.com. Online registration is preferred. Contestants may register at the Gaming Garage on Wednesday, July 8, only if brackets are not full. Contestants will receive an official contestant number to compete in this tournament. Bracket scheduling will be available online as well as listed in the Gaming Garage.
  10. All competitors must present official contestant number 15 minutes prior to scheduled time of competition at the Gaming Garage for all brackets and rounds or they will be disqualified. Official contestant number will be required to redeem any and all prizes (any substitute will void claim to prizes).
  11. Nintendo Wii Bowling will be used.
  12. All equipment will be provided. Do not bring your own.
  13. Winners will be selected by single elimination during the contest. In the event of a tie, their will be a “play off” until a winner is crowned.
  14. Obscene gestures, vulgar language, or threatening behavior will be grounds for immediate removal from the Gaming Garage and automatic disqualification from the tournament.
  15. Absolutely no aggressive acts or acts directed against the staff and/or tournament officials will be tolerated and will be grounds for removal and disqualification from the tournament.
  16. All State, Local, Federal and or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or other fees for prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner. All those who win a prize / prizes valued at over $600 will be issued an IRS form 1099 to report their winnings.
  17. All prizes are awarded “as is.” Gifts are nontransferable and cannot be exchanged.
  18. Clear Channel Radio or the Northern Wisconsin State Fair shall not be responsible for the failure of participating sponsors to deliver prizes as promised.
  19. All entrants and winners agree that the station, Clear Channel Broadcasting, Inc., The Northern Wisconsin State Fair, and their affiliates, shall have no liability and shall be held blameless for any injury, misfortune, or damage to either persons or property insured by entering, participating in, winning, or losing any contest by use or non-use of any prize received.
  20. All prizes must be claimed in person at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair during regular business hours and within ten business days of winning, excluding holidays. After such time, ownership of said prize reverts back to the Northern Wisconsin State Fair to be disposed of at their discretion. The winner then loses all claims and rights to said prize.
  21. Proper identification must be presented to claim prize. Winners may be asked to fill out a Winner’s Affidavit and Release.
  22. All entry blanks, forms devices and materials, as well as all the information contained on or within, gathered during the course of entry, shall become the sole property of the Northern Wisconsin State Fair to be used, disposed of or destroyed at the discretion of the station.
  23. All entrants and winners agree that the Northern Wisconsin State Fair and/or Clear Channel Broadcasting Inc., may broadcast or publish their name, city of residence, photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including their voice, recorded or live, for any reason the station deems necessary without compensation. All entrants further agree to hold Clear Channel Broadcasting Inc., and/or The Northern Wisconsin State Fair blameless and without liability for such publication, broadcast or use.
  24. The Northern Wisconsin State Fair reserves the right to end a contest at any time without any advanced notice to the public.
  25. Violations of any of these rules or attempts to win any contest by fraud, deception, or cheating shall be grounds for the Northern Wisconsin State Fair to disqualify that individual from participating in all current and future contests and events at the sole discretion of the Northern Wisconsin State Fair, as well as forfeiture of any prize or prizes won by fraudulent means.
