2009-2010 Contest Winner

Janelle Dahlka, the 2009/2010 Northern Wisconsin State Fair Fairest of the Fair, recently attended the 87th annual Wisconsin Association of Fairs Convention in Wisconsin Dells. Dahlka was one of 39 contestants competing for the tile of 2010 Wisconsin Fairest of the Fairs.

The 3 day contest consisted of individual interviews, group interviews, and impromptu question and answer sessions in front of an audience. The contestants were judged on personality and attitude, maturity, performance, speaking ability, poise and appearance, involvement and activities, and overall impression.

During the final evening's banquet, Dahlka was selected as one of ten finalists. Natalie Salkowski, representing Ozaukee County, was chosen as the 2010 Wisconsin Fairest of the Fairs and will serve as the official ambassador of the Wisconsin Association of Fairs.

Dahlka was the first Northern Wisconsin State Fair Fairest of the Fair to compete in the state Fairest competition after the fair brought the program back after more than 20 plus years since the last Fairest program.
